Landing Today for 2030 +

Updated: Apr 21, 2023

Can I celebrate Earth Day? Given the media images and reports of storms and draughts, can I celebrate EarthDay 2023 trusting it contributes to a healthier Earth Day 2030 or 2050? I found the answer in the story of Earth Day itself.

Triggered by media images - oil spoils in California, flames on the Cayauga River in Ohio - a US senator commissioned the first Earth Day to be April 22, 1970. His vision -- an American environmental teach-in -- went global. This weekend more than a billion folk in more than 193 countries are demonstrating, praying, planting, singing, sculpting, manifesting that vision.

Images are powerful. They can numb and paralyze or inspire visions and celebration. Take the first images of earth from Space. They've done more for the environment than government or industry! Those images evoked Visions that called us to direct our potential to the future. Visions are powerful. They call us forward.

Even more powerful is making Earth day a ritual part of our lives. When we celebrate that vision of the future we want we nurture seeds of a new consciousness. We create energy fields around us. We cooperate with the quantum potentiality that first flared forth billions of years ago and brought forth a humanity with unprecedented power of creativity.

So, with love for the Earth community in 2030 and 2050, here’s a ritual. A body prayer, it's a meditation for manifestation; it's a commitment to a living communicating multi-species Earth community. It's a spiritual exercise and a dance with Evolutionary Consciousness.

The Dance of Landing is partly based on The Land Acknowledgement and its essential message: our identity, history, and destiny are tied to the land, to the land where we stand.

Standing in place We are the land where we stand.

Inhale We are the air that blows above it. Drink of Water We are the water that flows below it.

Turn clockwise We are the four-legged, the winged, the burrowing, and . the rooted ones that make it home. Bow naming 1st We honour the Land’s first children – nations eg. the Huron Wendat, Mississaugas of the Credit ..

Turn counter-clockwise We regret past and persistent religious, political, and environmental racism.

Pause invite vision from

Evolutionary Consciousness ------------------------------------------------------------------

Restate Intention. We stand for right relationship with and in all the Land. Chant or sing to tune We are landing, landing, landing our lives, . T'is a Gift to be Simple we are landing our lives till Earth comes round right.

What vision from Evolutionary Consciousness dropped in for you?

We can celebrate Earth Day, 2023 with the Dance of Landing. These simple movements, done at your window, on a walk in the park, at the mall, in your garden any day of the year remind us we are profoundly part of the future; we are visionaries, Evolutionary Dancers; we are cocreators with the quantum potentiality evoking through us a healthier Earth Day 2030, 2050, 2070, and beyond. May it be so!

Don't forget to get your copy of Evolutionary Dancer on Amazon or ask your local book seller to order it for you.
